About

Hi, I’m Dr. Jessica Puccetti-Hoffman. I was born in Napa, California and moved to Redmond, Oregon at the age of 11. I grew up on acreage and participated in 4-H and FFA raising and showing sheep, hogs, and horses. From an early age I worked with animals and learned the importance of the human-animal bond. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in BioResource Research at Oregon State University in 2009 and then my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 2014.

I acquired my acupuncture certification during my last year of vet school through the CuraCore Integrative Medicine and Education Center. However, my passion for integrative and root cause medicine didn’t truly start until my own family’s health challenges. They ignited my fervor for a more comprehensive approach to healing.

It started with my husband, Beau, it took 15 years for Western Medicine to give him a “diagnosis,” for his back pain. A rheumatologist told us he had an autoimmune disorder called Ankylosing Spondylitis. I watched western medicine slowly make him more diseased and more reliant on expensive and more damaging medications.

While, we were dealing with his side effects from every new biologic and western medication they could put him on, we got pregnant with our second daughter. At the first ultrasound, they diagnosed her with a cleft lip and palate. When I began to ask why, no doctor could give me a reason. Then I started researching the increasing prevalence of genetic diseases and noticed they were increasing. Why was no one asking why?

This prompted me to explore alternative healing methods for my family. I began to see my family thrive with whole food nutrition, simple things like going outside and connecting to the spiritual. This path eventually transformed my professional approach to veterinary medicine. As a certified veterinary medical acupuncturist and a Fear Free Certified Professional, my mission is clear: to provide holistic, whole-body care for pets, addressing the root causes of their ailments, just as I’ve learned to do in my own life.

Away from working, you can find me outdoors; camping, hiking, and adventuring with my husband, Beau, my two daughters, Sedona and Adelaide and our two dogs; Kai (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) and Beira (a Golden Retriever). We also have two indoor cats that rule the home (Bebe and Pai Mei).
